Octoberiana

I loaded another roll of 220-format 20th Century Kodak 400MC into Morton.

Getting photos of individual members of our small jam group was something I had thought of doing. When I arrived, Mike was sitting on his rock-and-roll porch, leaning into the sunshine. When the camera was ready, he leaned back into the shadow, but still got just grazed by the sunshine.

Into the subterranean studio. Exposure time was one song. Ollie on lead guitar and vocals.

Mike on drums.

Pete on bass.

At the end of the rhythm guitarist's turn, his high E string broke and he got up to fix it without closing the shutter. With his black shirt and guitar, he was no match for the photons from the stationary objects behind him.

The following Saturday was a photo walk from Photo Opp near downtown Appleton, associated with their ALT. exhibit. Since I had traversed downtown and the flats in several previous photowalks, I chose to concentrate on Lawrence University, where our Andy went to college. He was a music major, so we almost always passed this way when we came to campus - the back of the east wing of the Music Conservatory.

The Conservatory connects to the historic Memorial Chapel.

That gloaming shadows thing again on the side of Main Hall.

The long gallery on the north side of the Wriston Art Center.

The Center for Academic Success opposite it.

A fountain between them.

A full-body cyanotype and a photograph on the walls inside the art center.

Over the Fox.

Andy double majored in Physics as well, so the Science Hall was where he spent a lot of time.

A week later, the Farmers' Market on Halloween seemed like a good time to finish the roll.

A coffee bug.

Dressed as pieces of cake at Sugar High Pastries.

One of the regular buskers with a bedazzled fiddle and witch hat.

A couple of bunnies.

A witchy Sweet Jules materializes behind her pastries.

Morton has two .23mm pinholes, on the axis and 11mm above it, 30mm from a 6x6cm frame. The film is a 220 format roll of Kodak Pro 400 MC, expired in 2001, developed in an Arista.edu C41 kit
